On the 21st of September we took 25 dancers to the Grange Theatre in Riccaton for the Chirstchurhc Ballet Societys Evening of Dance Event. We performed 2 numbers alongside other dance schools from all around Christchurch.
Our minis performed their compeition group dance Pink! we enjoyed watching them so confident out on the stage after a full season of competions. What wonderful teamwork, this was the last time we will see our beautiful barbies on stage as we retire this number for the year.
Our Senior jazz studnts came together to perform 'I feel like dancing' a fun, upbeat Jason marz song about dancing your heart out like nobody is watching. We loved wathcing you come together as a group and work out our tranisitons and spacing on the day of the performace. We really did feel like dancing!
We thank the Christchurch Ballet Society for creating an event that fosters a sense of community and belonging, encourages self-expression and creativity. What a fantastic way to provide a platform for dancers of all levels to participate without pressure. We had numerous dancers from our studio performing for the very first time, shout out to Lainey, Meg, Paige and Tora!
We have attended this event every 2 years since our studio opened, it has been a great place to connect with like-minded dancers and teachers alike. We enjoyed spending time together as a studio hanging out, getting ready and performing together as a team. It has also been a great opportunity for our younger dancers to connect with our older students.
We cannot wait to work with the Christchurch Ballet Society again on their next event. Thank you for providing such wonderful opportunities for our dancers.
